Technical Skills Assessments

Technical Skills Assessment

The Technical Skills Assessment is the process of documenting the technical knowledge and skills developed by the student during the 2-4 year occupational program of study.  The State Division of Professional-Technical Education has developed a state approved list of TSA’s for most of the programs of study offered in Idaho.

All Nampa School District PTE students (usually seniors) completing the Capstone (Final) Course in an occupational pathway will be required to take the Technical Skills Assessment associated with their occupational pathway.

The Technical Skills Assessment data is used primarily for overall program improvement.  This data along with the data gathered from the Career Readiness Assessment provides the necessary information to make curriculum adjustments or changes in order to maintain alignment with industry standards and postsecondary programs.
